Arsenal have been carried by referee controversies all season. But in football, it’s better to fall with integrity than rise through favors because real glory is earned, not gifted. That title doesn’t count in my books!

What sort of logic is this really? Fuel pricing is a predictable monthly event! Every single month we know the price will be reviewed! Shouldn’t you “protect Kenyans” when conducting the review in the first instance? We are seeing a pattern here where Kasongo throws us pain first then “reconvenes” to give us Panadol.

Mr. Ruto, instead of addressing the skyrocketing cost of fuel that is crippling ordinary Kenyans, you choose to make me Kalonzo Musyoka the subject of your roof top rants? That speaks volumes. I take that as a sign, hii imeenda! Kenyans are watching, and they deserve a leader focused on a clear direction, not deflection. Make no mistake, wewe ni WANTAM! 🇰🇪

@paulinenjoroge What's the work of parliament? All these sounds correct but not right by law. Reading paragraphs that offers no solutions is the problem, you are the problem. You know the right people to push. Not political agenda

Before pushing fuel prices to unprecedented levels, did the government think through critical interventions such as reducing or even temporarily suspending some of the taxes cushioning Kenyans and businesses from the shock? Ruto keeps insisting that his administration is creating jobs, often citing figures that are far removed from KNBS data. Yet in reality, the government is undermining the very drivers of economic growth and employment creation. Placing diesel at 242 bob has far reaching consequences across the economy. Diesel powers machines in factories, construction sites, farms, transport systems and supply chains. Once fuel costs rise this sharply, the cost of production and doing business inevitably goes up. Manufacturers are forced to spend more to run machinery and transport goods, farmers spend more on production and distribution, public transport operators increase fares, small businesses struggle to survive and investors become hesitant. And when businesses can no longer sustain operating costs, expansion slows, jobs are frozen and layoffs begin. You cannot claim to champion job creation while simultaneously making it more expensive to produce, transport, manufacture and run businesses.

I remember Baba once narrating to me the facts about the Green Field Terminal issue. No Jimmy. Uhuru did not cancel the tender because you were not supporting him politically. It was because of the enormous cut you were demanding from the project, a figure that would have significantly eaten into the actual project funds. The issue was not politics, but excessive greed. The guy is not who he portrays himself to be. Aseme yeye ako tutam without beating around the bush. Hakuna mtu atamchapa.

A united opposition candidate would trounce President William Ruto with 76 per cent of the vote if the opposition fronts a single presidential candidate in the 2027 elections. A TIFA poll released yesterday places Ruto at 24 per cent, while the combined opposition vote, currently split among several contenders, stands at 76 per cent. The findings suggest that opposition unity could decisively shape the outcome of the 2027 presidential race. ow.ly/NqRe50Z01Gs

@ledamalekina For the country to realize the Universal Health Coverage, SHA should and must be the primary health insurance for all Kenyans. The problem is we have overlapping policies both for private insurance companies and SHA

Sen. Ledama Olekina@ledamalekina·
We must urgently review and correct the current SHA Insurance arrangement. Forcing SHA on people who already have valid insurance is unnecessary, unreasonable, and counterproductive. The current setup is also distorting claims processing, with insurers now demanding confirmation that SHA will pay 30% before honoring their 70% share. This is obstructing care, shifting burdens unfairly onto hospitals, and defeating the purpose of the system.
