I have always found people who degross out of a position of weakness to be feeble + weak (relative to degrossing when you make too much too quickly which I think is fair). The OG Citadel model was to gross up into pain and die on the hill, dunno when the average PM became a wimp

Markets reacting to Trump posts is like kids playing games; the outcome is obvious, except you make or lose money, a lot. It’ll pass, so I’m rebalancing. I sold my losing $MBLY position. This week I'm buying lots of $NOK & $SMTC leaps DD: AI AI AI

@insane_analyst Your dataflow draft was way better than many "published-grade" sell-side commentary and paid Substacks. I mean thank you🫡

Had a lot of fun meeting lots of people (new and old) this week. Prob will write up summary of key takeaways loitering around MS TMT tomorrow. I am chaotic neutral. No consulting fees. No financial gain other than learning and becoming better trader. My book 100% public.

The talent level at hedge funds is so far above the talent at VC funds. when they interact it's like watching a human speak to a gaboon

Jrs I work with instinctively chase into the hole. "I liked this business at 200, so I should like it even more at 150". Usually 1) slow to update their priors 2) stubborn about digging about what they could have wrong / quantifying it 3) not respecting the price action itself Sometimes the r/r can be better once the name is higher and key pain points are addressed. Let the market tell you when positioning/narrative is cleaner vs. the knife I put on some software - small to start in the fund to stay on the front foot of my YTD lead. Same with PA. Didn't work. Not going to slug in good capital into an idea the market is telling me is shit

@buccocapital Not sure if you saw him w Cramer tonight but I actually laughed out loud a few times. He seemed absolutely flummoxed regarding the price of his stock. You know I’m old if I’m using “flummoxed”.

I added more $MBLY 2027 leaps at the all-time low of ~9.6. The headwinds include high memory prices, a delayed Porsche/Audi ramp, and China's competition. But I still see a limited downside and huge upside here. The Mentee acquisition will accelerate their pivot to partial E2E

I'm aggressively adjusting my portfolio from semi stocks to other industries. I'm buying $MBLY leaps. DD: Mobileye was priced for Intel's cash problems in 2025; we are past that. ADAS demand is reaccelerating & Robotaxi roll-out in Europe are major catalysts.

Live your life you have today or be born as a King of England 200 years ago? Which life would you rather have? Once I answered that, I thought damn. Last year @dylan522p tweeted “Whether you’re religious or not remember to be grateful, this is the biggest economic boom ever”

@insane_analyst On the optics section, I was expecting a sentence shitting on Poet Technologies. I'm surprised by how polite you have become. Jokes aside, what do you think about POET? 😃😃

@insane_analyst You really nailed it on Tower Semi and Lumentum though. I've been waiting for these 2 to go back to pre-November levels so that I can add more, but they refused to correct meaningfully.

Oh boy, did we make a lot, now dumping profits into $AMZN leaps DD: AI money is on charging enterprises, not chatbots. Anthropic is way ahead and expanding aggressively into Copilot, outside the US, etc. Trainium2 is live & Ads is growing at a rate of tanking TradeDesk 40% a day

Bought a few $AMD Leaps DD: The market will eventually appreciate AMD's Nvidia chase just like $SNOW vs Databricks. Their shitty GPUs brought 5B rev this year, way up from 1B forecast coz AMD always underpromised. Hyperscalers need time to test/trust the MIs before ramping up

@insane_analyst 😂😂That would be way better for Credit Suisse than losing 5 Bil + shutting its prime brokerage biz. In this case, the US Gov would have bailed Suisse + everyone else & Hwang would still be hwanging on there

I miss Credit Suisse. In some alternate timeline, Bill Hwang became chief risk officer of Credit Suisse and took down the entire global financial system, as God intended.
