Anyway, all this to say that kindness and empathy for each other goes so, so far. I really believe focusing on building truly cohesive and collaborative teams (beyond just nursing and medicine!! ) is key to reimagining our health system and improving care.

This means so much. I still work long hours (healthcare lol), but my job satisfaction, anxiety, and burnout have improved so much in my new team environment. I am learning, growing in my skills, and so much happier. Our team continues to grow with allied healthcare professionals.

In my previous NP role I often worked alone & unsupported, it caused so much stress and long, long hours. Now, I still work mostly independently, but have the most wonderful collaborating physician who has made it clear he is always here for support when things don't feel right.

Left a stressful and unsupportive job recently & took a risk joining a new team. New boss emailed our team today with some CME courses they would like to pay for and provide us with time to complete. The amount I had to fight for 3hr CME with my previous job, this is amazing😭
