I use Claude Code every single day. It probably saves me 3-4 hours on every project. But here's what nobody says: If I didn't know Flutter, Firebase, and how backends actually work Claude would've destroyed my client projects by now. It confidently writes wrong code. It confidently misses edge cases. It confidently breaks production. You need the judgment to catch it. Judgment only comes from actually learning. AI is the gas pedal. You still need to know how to drive.

@seraleev Apple has two sets of guidelines. Store review (as the article mentions) and the DPLA. The DPLA explicitly allows apps to change themselves, as every major app does (lua, webviews, code push, etc).

After the removal of Rork, its competitors are now running into App Store issues as well. The reason is simple: These apps can generate and execute new code inside – app itself. But Apple doesn’t allow that – an app must not change its functionality after review. No new guidelines for vibe coding. Apple is just enforcing the old ones more strictly. Which likely means: “build apps directly on your iPhone” is coming to an end.

@elonmusk All the big apps, including yours, have self-update capabilities. We built @shorebirddev for all the rest of teams who can't afford to build their own over-the-air-update.

iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.

In 2010 people working at Google would have believed Google will kill most startups when they enter a category. Case in point: Google Flights. It launched in 2011. Should have killed most flight comparison websites + travel agents. Yet today they are doing better than ever…
Yuchen Jin@Yuchenj_UW

Some people at frontier AI labs told me they believe startups are over. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI will absorb every industry as AGI nears. Coding today, science, medicine, and finance next. Then everything else. If they’re right, that’s a pretty boring end of the world.

@awesomekling There are a least two desprately-in-need-of-a-dedicated-browser markets atm. One is a dedicated agent-browser (which kernel and others are working on) and another is a better harness for Electron than CEF. 🤔

@_eseidel @shorebirddev Congrats guys. I have a couple of questions. Is it recommended to integrate Shorebird during the project creation phase, or can it be added at any time? Does it support dart workspaces?

Hey @shorebirddev , quick question. - User A downloads release 1 on the app store. - I make a patch for release 1, (1.1). - User B downloads release 1 on the app store. Will user B see the patch (1.1) or will the see the release 1, since they downloaded after the patch?

@trey_codes @tusharghige @shorebirddev The very first launch will be the store-installed version. When they come back to the app (after going to another app for a while, or re-launching) it will be the patched version.

@tusharghige @shorebirddev The reason I asked is because shorebird stated before that users still submit releases instead of only patches in order for new users to get the most up to date code. But it sounds like they will have the most up to date code if I only create patches as well, no?
