Someone should make a fighting game where once you buy the game, you get all the characters for free without paying or grinding. Even the ones that haven’t come out yet. That would be really cool and make coming back for character updates more fun imo.

@smashprosgg @Valorzard @danfornace They aren't doing Steamworks P2P because they want console crossplay in the future.

@Valorzard @danfornace It means they're working on P2P, so you can connect to other players directly, instead of connecting to their servers as an intermediary. Routing for matchmaking would likely happen through Steam, but there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to host your own servers.

I've seen some discussion on this site about Rivals of Aether II and the Stop Killing Games initiative. We have no issues with the initiative and I wrote a developer response on a Steam review to clear some things up and I think it would be worthwhile to share here too:
