Probably watching a kdrama, *she/her/hers

I think another reason why black girls aren’t getting cast as much as biracial girls is because a lot of directors are looking for curly hair aesthetic that’s natural. The braids, super edges, constant straight hair is likely a detriment in auditions

Gen YBH Women’s History Month Spotlight: GRACE DUAH “I hope that the stories and characters I portray can provide a safe space for others, as those of the legends before me provided for myself and other Black women and girls. I want Black girls and women, especially darker-skinned Black girls, to be able to look at my work and be reminded that our value and beauty are insurmountable. There is no box capable of fitting everything we have to offer, and we can never be erased. I stand where I stand because of the incredible work of all the black women who broke down doors before me and never took no for an answer. Thus I hope my work one day will lead to even more black women and girls standing with us in defiance of everyone whoever doubted us.”
