Kelleher: "I find a bit difficult when I hear people speaking about the players at Liverpool and performances, because I don’t think this season is even important from a football aspect for them to be honest. It’s more about them personally and mentally" independent.co.uk/sport/football…

Zach Kleiman on the decision to put Ja Morant on the trade market: "this is about the direction of the team." Also said that the team is "pivoting to a younger build."

Kleiman mentions Zach Edey, Cedric Coward, Jaylen Wells and Walter Clayton Jr. as some young players for the future. He said he’s not going to “sit here and crown any of them,” but those players are some who could factor in the new direction.

End of an era.

Another thought: The Grizzlies traded two players (Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson) who lived up to every expectation because a third player (Ja Morant) came up short. Morant's failures -- physical and otherwise -- are the primary reason the franchise has to start again.

Ja Morant is the last man standing from the 2022 Grizzlies core 🥲 The vibes were immaculate in Memphis.
