@See_Bleuu And also, you'll never see men creating discourse, defending women on the internet.

@aadore_m @Bomikazi_ I also learnt it was meant to be derogatory here on twitter. I always thought "le" was the derogatory one but then again I argued with a girl years back who was adamant that it "mapedi" instead of Bapedi and she's mopedi self. So I think le rona self ra rena knowledge kahle kahle

@_herheart__ @Bomikazi_ I hear you! But after learning that y’all use “ma” as a derogatory to the Nguni’s I got sad but now I’m fine! I’m just willing to learn more . Fyi: as long as it’s really borrowing I’m ok with that

@aadore_m @Bomikazi_ I can't speak for us all but for Batswana we're just borrowing from the nguni language, and we do with other languages too. I don't think you'll ever be referred to as Bazulu because this comes from waay back from our elders and grams isn't going to stop. I alone could but 🤷🏾

@_herheart__ @Bomikazi_ The offence is in referring to another group of people as something that they themselves don’t refere to or that you yourself don’t refer yourself to But if it genuinely sterns from the first person thinking they are “borrowing from”we forgive it, but correct it to baZulu then?!

@aadore_m @Bomikazi_ And to add, I think now if I can't say "mazulu" as motswana and have to say "amazulu" then ngini people should also refer to me as "Motswana" and not "umtswana". Maybe this is why people are tussling.

@_herheart__ @Bomikazi_ But do you have “ma” as a plura reference to yourselves?! As in MaTswana? Yes or not and if not what does ma relate to?! FYI gramma doesn’t change just because you add your own word!

@Bomikazi_ @aadore_m And example is bad here because I used plural and singles. But like if 2 zulu people are "Amazulu" then it made sense for them to be "mazulu" in Setswana. So then for nguni people saying "amatswana" "amapedi" etc wouldn't be bad. Idk

@Bomikazi_ @aadore_m As Motswana I always thought we said "MaZulu" or "Maxhoza" because we can't say "UmZulu" or "UmXhosa" ka Setswana. Same way I thought nguni people said "Abatswana"(in my experience) or "Amatswana" because they too couldn't speak ours. But recent discourse has me unsure.

@wehNthati_ I think given the incest, that's why we're focusing on the relationship. They asode the incest which is nuts.

almost every one is focused on how you’re still in a relationship with him and my worry is how you’re casually mentioning that they are hooking up with their cousin and how that’s not your main concern considering that’s incest ? 😭😭😭
noice@msm_goth

My boyfriend had a thing with his cousin and it overlapped three months into our relationship, it eats me inside coz he be visiting his family every holidays and obviously the cousin is there😭💔
