Any game studios looking for an IT guy / sysadmin? We had two great candidates but only one opening, the other guy was a bit gutted so I'd love to help him find a new home
@SonicMonarch Daaaaaaamn.... Hah well it's good to know wtf was going on anyway, I was really puzzled. Thanks for looking into it man. Keep up the good work as always! You are my #1 source of Nash science :)
@SonicMonarch Weird, I can't seem to do it in either corner, in training vs eg ryu. ex scythe is no problem, but that's 6 frames. could this be character specific? you can land it vs whole cast?
@_higekun It juggles corner only. Do bazooka knee as early as possible. As to how plus you are, I can't check right now. But I assume you're probably +1 or 2. Enough to threaten a throw.
Hey @SonicMonarch I've landed this link to bazooka knee a couple of times in matches but I can't seem to repeat it in training mode. Do you know what's going on? How plus is it?
@GameDevAlex full-time indie you can only do given funding/revenue to cover costs, natch
* SEIS supports small investment from non-rich people eg family. try asking!
* for WFH, the more you charge the less you work, but you want free time so use that tradeoff & charge more
So compiled wisdom:
- start with some savings
- make *small, unique* games
- look to investors/pubs (with advances)
- collab with established names where poss
- 'full indie' still typically includes work for hire
- work around your dayjob until you can afford not to (or forever)
Hey, tell me your stories of how the hell you started/continue to afford being full time indie because rn it seems literally impossible and I have no idea how to even start down that road
