By the way, the referee in that Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona match was pure class. The audacity, the aura, having control of the whole match, not letting anyone or the occasion intimidate him. He showed it from the start that he won’t be giving cheap fouls and stood by that rule till the final whistle. He knew players will try to get cheap fouls and he wasn’t taking it from the very start. It’s a quarter final, you will fight for every ball and won’t get a lucky freekick. Clément Turpin!! What a man👏

The ref was horrible, but I want to be fair here. As bad as it looked for Fermín, this was completely accidental. If Joan García were sent off for something like this, I know I’d be furious. It was an unfortunate situation, but the keeper was clearly just trying to regain his balance.

I said that this referee is a no-nonsense man. If you check some of his decisions, they were 100% correct. If this were a La Liga game, trust me, Barcelona would win this match with the help of VAR. Also, the VAR crew were on their toes to ensure a credible, fair-play game. Barca fans can cry all they want or blame their loss to Rashford, who wasn’t in the starting lineup, as they’ll always find a player to scapegoat. This man is the best for such big games. If you want to win the UCL, you must fight for it and win it on a fair basis.

Another day to remind you that Barcelona is an average club. Them getting eliminated by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter finals makes it going to the 12th year without winning the most prestigious club trophy in football but somehow, they always want to convince you that they're a top team. What makes you a top club if you haven't won the most prestigious club football competition in the world in the past decade? What they're good at is winning local trophies because that's what mid team do. At least, unlike Real Madrid who's going trophyless this season, they're walking away with the League title. Barcelona is a good team filled with alot of potentials for the future no doubt but I need Barcelona fans to be humble. They make too much noise for a team that hasn't won an international trophy for more than a decade. For a team who always look like the favorite to scale through the next stage but always bottle it at the end of the day tells you they don't have the depth to be at the very top. They're not there yet but have the ability to be in few years from now, so stop bragging unnecessary. Regardless, congratulations on winning the league.
