Leaving (escaping?) academia can be liberating. This expectation that everyone has to be a prof is ridiculous. But many do want to be and the 🌊 of Indigenous, Black, POC and women scholars leaving academia is a SYSTEMIC FAILURE. 🧵

Really enjoyed taking part in @_carfms conference today in a special panel session which focused on 'refusal' and private/community sponsorship. A really interesting group of speakers from across Canada, very happy to take part from the UK! Thanks to the organisers!
