Declan Rice loves West Ham and has shown nothing but respect to us always. We couldn’t match his ambitions, but he left respectfully for a very large fee and always gave his all. He never refused to train, gave his all right until the end and probably stayed a good 2 more years than he could have. Got stick last week for saying we’re happy to see him succeed. You can hate Arsenal but also feel proud of him deep down, for some odd reason a lot of people can’t separate the two. All I’ve see is people say his reaction to us being relegated is performative. He spent 10 years at the club, and let’s be honest, deep down would have stayed if we could’ve went to the next level with him. He loves this football club, there’s zero need for him to perform for the cameras.

Congrats to Declan Rice on becoming a Premier League Champion. Shame it had to be with Arsenal but so happy to see a former academy kid who once captained us to European Glory go on to captain another side to Premier League Glory. Wonder if there's a chance he can lead England to World Cup victory this summer. Really hope we can see him back at West Ham one day, brilliant brilliant player and leader. ⚒️❤️

Karren Brady’s promise of “a world-class team in a world-class stadium” rings even more hollow now. West Ham United should never have moved to a soulless public athletics track. Great move for the board but not for the fans. Leaving Upton Park made sense for commercial reasons but not sporting/atmosphere. Daniel Levy was right. The Olympic Stadium should have been knocked down and a proper football stadium built there. It is a good site. But the Olympic lobby and politicians got all protective and precious about the 2012 legacy. How often does this country need a huge athletics arena anyway? Yes, West Ham won a European trophy since they’ve left Upton Park. But London Stadium was always a problem, always a passion-killer, fans distant from the ones they love, the players, and limited potential for increased revenue streams. Other reasons behind club’s demise. Lack of leadership in the boardroom. Recruitment an issue, too. What a mess. Record losses, fears over future of Fernandes, Summerville and Nuno, intensified protests against chairman Sullivan.   Relegation likely. Two points adrift of safety following 3-1 defeat to Newcastle. Wretched goal difference (-22) compared to Spurs’ (-9). Spurs need only a point from Chelsea away (hard) or David Moyes’ Everton at home to guarantee survival and condemn West Ham. Can Moyes do West Ham a favour? The club who let him go. West Ham need to beat ex-Spur Joe Rodon and Leeds at home anyway. West Ham look doomed to the drop. They will return but need better ownership. And many of their fans have been warning of this perfect storm for some time. #WHUFC

Late to the party but the decision to rule out West Ham goal was a disgrace. Raya being pulled? There’s two Arsenal players holding West Ham players in the box. You also see incidents like that every single game that goes unpunished, the iconsistency in football is disgraceful.

VAR made the right decision there, but the consistency in this league is all over the place. Different decisions and rules every week.

19 years ago today...West Ham became the first team to win a league match at the Emirates Stadium as Bobby Zamora scored the only goal, and Rob Green pulled off an absolute masterclass, in a 1-0 win over Arsenal.
