@monsoonchaser @AriWeather @weatherdak The cloud deck became stretched curled/reorganized by LL flow. Open/Closed cell clouds formation. Deformation around the offshore high, shear and embedded ship tracks. 3 days in the making.

Yes, SPC busted. No, the wind forecast didn’t make up for it. The synoptic look was impressive, but the CAMs were screaming bust by the evening of 3/15: messy pre-line convection, poor heating/recovery window…modeled cloud cover was ~99% across much of NC for most of Tuesday! This is a case of trusting what “should” happen over trusting the latest guidance. Good case study and learning opportunity.

Tomorrow’s Tor risk isn’t all that impressive for RDU. Mostly a QLCS setup and storms firing/prolonged clouds in the AM will ruin the heating potential. Favorable shear profile for the QLCS, embedded Tors possible, but not seeing discrete supercell risk yet. I’ll revisit Monday AM.

@simongerman600 It's not about when it was released, some songs don't gain popularity until a year or more after official release. So that methodology skews the chart younger. In reality, the peak influence is probably 15-19, late teens.

random 2 cents on AI no one asked for: my biggest concern with using LLMs isn't about what it's capable of *right now* - at this point it's incapable of replacing human expertise & is best used as a tool for net max benefit - my concern is how far can LLMs advance & what the job market looks like in a few years if not even sooner
