In 2019, one of my friends, a married man, approached me to partner with him on a fish farming business he was about to start.
He needed around ₦200,000 to begin because he already had the pond ready. He just needed money for the fingerlings and fish feed.
I gave him ₦100,000, and we agreed that he would repay me ₦30,000 every four months for life.
Can you imagine that this man sold the first batch of fish without informing me? When he was about to sell the second batch again without telling me, it was his wife who called to warn me about what her husband was doing. She never supported the way he was treating me.
This completely changed our friendship. He was a member of my church, so the matter was even taken to the church elders, but in the end, he only paid back ₦10,000.
Guess what? The business collapsed in less than two years, and he came back begging me for more support.
I blocked him immediately.
Above all, love God.
