BREAKING: 2019 WNBA Finals MVP Emma Meesseman has committed to join the New York Liberty, per @alexaphilippou. Meesseman hasn't appeared in the league since 2022.

Due to today’s events, our team is officially exiting the @TFNsRun4Roses Championship Tournament. The safety and mental well-being of our players, families, and staff is my top priority as the coach. What occurred today was tragic and deeply unsettling. Watching public safety officers rush in with shotguns, semi-auto patrol rifles, and helicopters circling overhead is not something anyone should have to experience — especially young athletes. Our @MaryvilleWBB staff will not be attending the remainder of the Run 4 Roses Championship. What happened today was not normal, and should not be normalized. A very sad day for our basketball family.
