Once upon a classroom, I thought I gave students a voice. But it's not mine to give. I cannot give what they already own. But I can give an ear. That is mine to give. Student voice is already there. It's not something we give. It's something we honor. And we do when we listen.

Goal for 2021: explicitly introduce metacognition. By focusing on learning processes & increasing self awareness, will this increase levels of engagement? Hoping that Ss will see tasks/internals as having more purpose rather than just a grade & credits. shorturl.at/almLT

Today my students were looking at how Newton’s 3 Laws apply to tenpin bowling. They were challenged to create their own bowling lane and record their scores before completing knowledge review questions. I think it’s fair to say some of them got a bit competitive #EinPE #nzhpe
