Johnware Substation, Newtown South Central Distributor: The power supply has been restored up to 88% for customers on Lillian Ngoyi Street, Quinn Street, as well as surrounding areas in Newtown North, parts of Fordsburg as well as parts of Central. The outage was reported on Sunday due to multiple faulty cables.
The team will continue to locate faults on the remaining load centres for repairs to be conducted.
Developments will be provided in later reports.

The third property inspected was located on Leyds Street in Braamfontein. The premises were found to be operating both a salon and a kitchen within the same space.
An audit of the meter was conducted, which revealed that the customer has accumulated an outstanding debt to the City exceeding one million rand in revenue.
Due to this significant arrears balance, the property has been flagged for disconnection.
However, the disconnection process will only be carried out once the current outage in the area has been fully resolved, in order to ensure the safety of the operational team.

The second property inspected was also located on Juta Street in Braamfontein. During the audit, two meters were identified on the premises. The team conducted a thorough assessment and confirmed that both meters are properly registered and compliant.
Furthermore, it was established that the associated customer account is up to date, with no outstanding balances. The property was therefore found to be fully compliant with municipal requirements.
