This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.

One of the biggest mistakes I see devs make is being rude to people in other positions at the company, especially program management, Ops folks, admins, etc.
Aside from it being crucial to treat everyone with respect, these folks know where all the bodies are buried.

"Why are 90% of job postings for full stack these days?" This is something that I have truly been saying for a while now. It may not necessarily be a popular point but it is an accurate one. Being comfortable with backend and frontend will open you to a lot more opportunities.

I'm really feel disgusted by big tech companies who did layoffs in first half of 2023 and many are now hiring for those same positions while the initial laid off people are still searching for work.
Tech is so brutal, it’s a business for them & You’re just a number.
