Washington state's tax system asks the most of those with the least. I signed the Millionaires' Tax to rebalance that unfair system.

You require birthdates, SS numbers just for WA Cares tax. You lost this information to fraudsters to exploit employment insurance programs. People have to submit biometrics just to access their IRS account. You don’t protect voters, taxpayers, or their data. The reporting on payroll taxes is insane, yet you don’t want the feds, who already have more data on people that you have control over in this state, so who exactly are you protecting from the feds? Criminals? Just stop wasting our money and gaslighting people that you are some kind of protector of their personal data that is already available. The Feds have the data, but they to compare it to yours for legal purposes.

Important news for voting in Washington state: I recently signed 5 election-related bills, including to respond to federal efforts to access voter data. We established a state-level voting rights preclearance process for jurisdictions that have previously violated voting rights laws. We amended who can challenge a voter’s registration. We clarified the statute that information like a voter’s driver’s license number, Social Security number, or full birth date is confidential, and made unauthorized disclosure of private voter information a class C felony.  We strengthened coordination between elections offices and federally recognized Tribes. And we strengthened the Washington Voting Rights Act by clarifying how voting rights violations are addressed and resolved.

The crazy thing is is that these ICE agents are gainfully employed tax paying citizens of the US and residents of WA that are hated just for doing the job of protecting our country from invaders. I just signed a historic bill. In Washington state, law enforcement officers, including ICE, are now prohibited from wearing masks.

Oh, it’s much worse than this in WA, ruled by Seattleites. They just passed legislation to remove our elected Sheriff’s at will, so if all of WA doesn’t follow Seattle, they will just remove the Sheriff refusing these types of orders and if the police don’t report ICE activity, they can be reprimanded, fired, sued, etc.
