@Fatihah_24 Not sure how far the US will be involved with Indonesia. We should maintain ASEAN neutrality. We’re close to China, even with disputes in the South China Sea. We don’t need US help. Just hope this stays as temporary military cooperation. Most ASEAN countries have done this anyway

@haiyakasim It literally shocked me knowing we (Malaysia) imported trash from those developed countries. There were more push from Malaysia in recent years. But I believe developed countries won't be in the list. They will find another countries to be the trash bin.

@abigbluebird @AnalyticaCamil1 They will most likely join Malaysia. Our government still provides massive payments to the rulers of our smaller states and their families. They may not be extremely wealthy, but they are rich enough to buy one or two new cars every two years.

@koitekome Boleh faham kalau kita nak kategorikan loghat negeri sebagai bahasa asing. As layman, lighat senang letak bawah payung "bahasa Melayu" sebab tatabahasa yg hampir sama, tak ada hirarki keras (eg kasar, sopan, super sopan) Atau ada tapi dah adopt bahasa Melayu Malaysia?

@FreeMsian @WanAbdRahman Sebelah2 je JB dan Singapore. Tapi panas JB seriously annoying, walaupun di bawah kawasan berpokok. Faham Johor penyumbang FDI terbesar bulan2 belakangan, tapi tolonglah tambah lagi pokok.

@magerhidupp 15 tahun dulu aku pandang rendah ke Jakarta dengan projek BRT vs Malaysia yg dah ada intracity trains 10 tahun kemudian, Jakarta jadi ibu kota terbaik (Sustainable Transport). KL pun tak pernah Aku iri dengan Jakarta. Keep up the good work. Emang Malaysia perlu banyak belajar

Out of topic: Been using AI myself. I think I'm reading chatGPT here 🤣 What I usually did was I draft the full karangan first, asked AI fo facts, flow and grammar. I didn't directly use AI responses, I updated my writing, choose which one I want to copy or retain as is.

@SurenVynn I, a Malay Muslim myself, want to know more about history of slavery in Tanah Melayu. I read only a book or two, but it seems Malay was really a bad slave owner. Like they really want to erase that history 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽

So, I've always been fascinated by the fact that slavery in North Borneo at least, was abolished so quickly and seemingly without any negative repercussions, unlike say what we saw in Malaya with the murder of J.W.W. Birch in Pasir Salak.

Borneo had indigenous slavery: Slaves were called "pai lenge" (hands and feet) as they did manual tasks. They had no genealogy or ancestors. His owner was his intercessor to the spirit world, and his deity. He was addressed as "my master" In the 1840s-50s, German Protestant missionaries purchased the manumission of slaves and they were settled in a community. The population then built two churches - one for the superior group, one for the former slaves. Former slaves were not permitted to enter the village, except to do dirty jobs.

Not sure the relation between ART trade agreement with India's GDP per capita growth which has been faster than Malaysia since 2008... For context Malaysia in 2008 is already an upper middle income economy as opposed to India which was a lower middle income economy back then. Even with India's growth outpacing Malaysia's, current Malaysia's GDP per capita is almost 5x of India's.
