Gov. Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2005 paid for surgeries and other medical expenses for over 6,000 persons in Lagos. Gov. Peter Obi sent doctors in Anambra to a 13 month strike. A strike that lasted a year and one month. Many died because there were no doctors to help them.

Dear Ilaje brothers and sisters of Warri Southwest, Listen carefully and let this sink deep into your hearts today, tomorrow, and for all time: The Ijaws look at you Ilajes and us Itsekiris and see one and the same thing — Yoruba people. They do not separate us. Whatever dirty politics, whatever marginalization, whatever attack or scheme they direct at the Itsekiris, you Ilajes will eventually face the exact same fate. Do not deceive yourselves thinking you are different or safe. That is why I am warning you plainly: those among you rushing to Tompolo to collect money so you can support Emomotimi Guwor are not just making a political mistake — you are betraying your own blood and selling your future cheaply. Hon. Emiko Odin-Etuwewe is half Ilaje. He carries your blood in his veins. He is one of you. Turning your back on him to line up behind an Ijaw candidate is nothing but a self-inflicted stab in the back. It is foolishness of the highest order. Open your eyes and see the game clearly. The Ijaws know very well that getting any meaningful support from the Itsekiris right now is slim to none — almost impossible. That is exactly why they have suddenly turned their attention to you Ilajes, begging, lobbying, and dangling money to win your votes. These are the very same Ijaws who go around claiming loud and proud that they are the majority over both Ilajes and Itsekiris combined in Warri Southwest. They boast about it every chance they get. Yet today, when it matters, they cannot stand on their own so-called majority — they are running cap in hand to you for support. If they were truly the majority as they claim, why the desperate scramble for Ilaje votes? Remember this truth always: no matter how much you help them today, no matter how much money you take or how loyal you think you are being, at the end of the day they will still see you together with the Itsekiris as one Yoruba people. They will deal with you the same way they deal with us. There is no special pass for Ilajes in their eyes. The Ilaje people I have known over the years are proud, wise, and courageous — not cowards who sell out their own for temporary crumbs. Do not allow anyone to turn you into cowards today. Stand firm for your own. Stand with your blood and Protect your interest. By Lord_of_Warri on 𝕏. Itsekiri Activist and Historian.

Ọwọ is world-famous for its ivory carvings and terracotta sculptures. In fact, many pieces of art labeled "Benin Art" in European museums were actually created by Ọwọ craftsmen. Facts over fictions.

Humbled. Grateful. Still trying to make sense of how we got here. @Riddwane, SSA on Media to Lagos State, reached out to me, as regards my quote to the tweet the Honorable commissioner made and said the Commissioner wanted to hear what I was building.
Tokunbo Wahab@tokunbo_wahab

I met with Adetokunbo Ogunnoiki @tokunboxyz , a young graduate of mathematics from the University of Ibadan, and his startup partner Ademola Gbadero, after his viral post on X caught my attention. They proposed a tech platform that uses geo mapping to help Lagosians locate clean and available public toilets in real time, with features like cleanliness ratings, walking directions, and estimated arrival times. They have already deployed a similar solution on their university campus with success. I invited them in, listened to their presentation alongside the Special Adviser to the Governor on e-GIS, Dr. Olajide Babatunde, and the Director of Sanitation Services, Dr. Hassan Sanuth. Fascinated by the idea and impressed by their depth of work, I approved the proposal on the spot and requested a comprehensive budget for the next meeting in a few days. This project will further bolster our drive for a cleaner Lagos under Governor @jidesanwoolu led administration. We welcome objective criticism that offers solutions, not outright condemnation, insults and curses. Governance is about collective solutions and empowering the next generation. #AGreaterLagosRising

The hypocrisy stinks. Let me remind you of history. During the End SARS protests, there was a man who served as AGF and facilitated the Twitter ban, even ordering the prosecution of anyone who defied it. His name is Abubakar Malami. This same man dismissed the panel findings that acknowledged deaths during End SARS. Again, AGF Malami. Now guess who not only supports him but has formed an alliance with him: Peter Obi. Yet somehow, you don’t have the same vim for him. Abeg, get away.
Ayo-Elesho@Ayoelesho

It needs no studying. Anyone who supports, implicitly or explicitly, a government that killed our compatriots during End SARS, stole elections in 2023, and has now plunged Nigerians into extreme poverty while being unable to secure our lives and property, deserves to be hated.
