Made an iOS app called Orasync to help kids with dyslexia. It takes boring text and articles and turns them into easier, more fun language with visuals. The goal is to make reading less stressful and more enjoyable for kids who struggle with traditional text.

@_oltimaloku Yeah but then if they hit it over the wall it’s probably going in. I’m saying that the keepers should just treat it like there’s no wall cuz then they can just react to the shot (unless the free kick is like right outside the box)

@Broll03 Nah you use the wall to your advantage - since it's harder for them to shoot over the wall you want them to have to take that shot

hi if you're like me and you love using @SlackHQ themes for your many workspaces, i have the app for you it has - hundreds of themes! - one-click copy + go to slack - search (via cmd-k) - a form to suggest your own - generate theme from logo built with @nextjs!

@michaelfromyeg Love this. Had a similar idea - basically a dopamine tracker that shows your screen time as dopamine points (since everyone's obsessed with dopamine lol). Like seeing exactly where your energy is going when you're scrolling vs actually doing something productive

project idea: app to control screen time synced across devices (i.e., phone + pc) something like screenzen (play.google.com/store/apps/det…) + cold turkey (getcoldturkey.com) that is **super opinionated** / has minimal config + good stats w/ some kind of digest/reporting

@nikitabier content marketing before launching helps. Can start at the building stage as well. Makes up for longer suspenseful storytelling of the launch + builds trust.

Four months of grinding—but finally unlocked some virality for a single-player app I'm advising. The chances were slim without network effects and inherent social elements—but somehow it worked by (1) renaming the app to something with a stronger hook and (2) generating shareable content during the signup flow. I'll give the full run down when it hits the top of the charts.

@leartspsyche Love this! Do you mean that they would be able to quickly review material related to the question that is about to be asked?

@_oltimaloku Something else that could be interesting would be to have a dynamic loading screen that animates in related concepts, giving the user a sense of things they may see on the next screen. Having other learning techniques may lead to information overload imo

The constant loading also takes away from the experience. I've been playing around with some ideas. One idea is can we take advantage of this unused time to integrate other learning techniques such as spaced repetition, active recall, and interleaving.

This essentially hides the loading time by introducing a feature that also adds value to the overall experience.

@_oltimaloku cook! functionality is 👨‍🍳😙 I love clipping the correct answers for later reference - big point I have with learning through chatgpt etc is finding old chats/answers

@michaelfromyeg Yeah I agree I have the same issue of losing chats. I think it's a lot more valuable to see how you answered a question instead of just saving a perfect response from GPT. I'm not really sure how to structure it but gonna do some thinking

It should be easy for the user to identify what the next step is. In the case above - brushing up on UDP before retrying the first question. They could then "step-in" to review UDP by going through the process of answering a question and identifying any blockers to UDP.

Map: I want the app to initially serve as a way to identify weak points in your understanding of a topic. You enter your initial topic and then traverse through a tree that evaluates your understanding of the underlying concepts. This can continue until weak points are identified

Got Whisper running locally and it's so much better. But, the model is 150 mb which makes the app quite large. Not sure if app size is that important but definitely something to note.
