The greatest killer of many friendships is abusing access. All my life till today I have never BORROWED. From family. From friends from nobody except it’s for medical related purposes. Even when I was poor poor. Having a tough mentality since day one that hunger can’t kill me but fuel me to achieve better is one major thing that got me where I am today. A lot of friendships have been destroyed because most of you have brought beg beg attitude into it while you just lay there and contribute absolutely nothing to the source of the income. Mine was a Nigerian who was schooling abroad, in the US. In 2020 I assisted her with some essays. The lowest payment was $200 per essay (good grades assured).
She is now doing an advanced program and reached out for an assignment...I billed her thesame price and she quickly did a rate conversation then said I wanted to make almost 300k in 4 hours from her?
I asked her what the issue was and she had never bothered about price since she was in the US. She said i will be making too much.
I held my ground. But she doesnt reach out anymore.

I was going to build two websites for a multimillionaire. I am sure his business was making around 50 million a month. I sent an invoice of 1.8 million, but his assistant reduced it to 800k, saying Oga wouldn’t pay. When the invoice reached him, he called me personally and asked me to lower it to 600k, saying it was too high. I stood my ground, and we agreed on 400k for just one of the sites. On the day we launched the site, I joined their team celebration dinner. It lasted less than two hours, and the restaurant bill was 420k. He literally paid for a one-night dinner that cost more than what he paid me for three weeks of work When we wanted to buy a domain, the one he liked was $80, he paid for two years upfront, that's over 200k I realized he wasn’t concerned about the money; His goal was to keep me small.
