@Sharleen_Browne Also I don't think the wait time for luggage here is bad, but it seems long because we don't have a big walk from the plane, and because immigration is so quick now

@_pgoat Which can be unnecessarily hurtful, albeit unintentional, to teams who try really hard because, as someone mentioned, our airport is tiny. It makes sense that the wait time in larger airports is "less." Your wait time was spent walking to the baggage hall and in other processes

From 2022 till now the average wait time for bags has reduced considerably. For eg. during peak in 2022, on average, the 1st bag would meet passengers in 34 mins vs now, 19 mins in same peak. Last bags were 59 mins vs now at 38 mins avg. The progress will continue

Saw my 3yr old son applying his mother's lipstick on his lips this morning. I had to activate a moderate loud slap on him. That's how, Bobrisky, James Brown, Eniola and "Emeka the feminists defender" started. That rubbish can't happen in my lineage.

Not even being funny but I genuinely admire you lot that are parents. There are some days that are just so mentally taxing that I could not imaging coming home and having to help with long division or someone calling me in the middle of the day asking if they could eat a snack…

Reading the Court pages is so depressing and today's are no exception. Only 20 years for raping one's own daughter is insane. Meanwhile that poor child is scarred for life. I hope she has counselling. :( If it were up to me, incest would be punishable by life imprisonment.

The issue with people “letting AI do the reading for them” is that a society that does not read is a society that can’t think critically. It can be easily manipulated by authoritarians. When we don’t read we are less informed, more dependent on tech tools, and more compliant.

Seems important that in Fahrenheit 451, books were still “available” in single-paragraph summaries—“read Hamlet in five minutes!”—but the books themselves had been banned for being too difficult. Tech boosters see a warning and think it’s an instruction manual.

Personally, I read a bunch of classics in high register in college. I guess it was fun. I recently ChatGPT'd Aristotle into readable English, finished it around 5x as fast as a translation, and felt I got the main gist of things. idk does the pain incurred actually teach much?
