#WATCH | Jaisalmer, Rajasthan | The Indian Army showcased the firepower and advanced combat capabilities of its Apache attack helicopters during Exercise Brahmastra at the Pokhran Firing Range. Also called the ‘tanks in the air’, the advanced helicopters showcased precision strike capabilities by successfully launching AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, rockets and an active display of gunfire.

If IAF understood this so called "Airpower themselves" then they wouldn't have only 29 squadrons operational out of 42 sanctioned

Understanding "air power" is not the same as live, eat, breath, air power. Practice and cockpit time cannot be replaced by "I read the book". 1000 hrs of a commander are not the same as 2000 hrs of a wing commander. Exceptions are there. But that's not the rule.

Given that the primary role of an attack helicopter is to support a ground attack, they must have gone (can still be) to the Army. Even in the new role of anti drone air defence of vital assets the Army should get the role.

In the Apache attack helicopter case, our MoD, instead of taking a decision based on some principle, took the easy way out. They split the numbers arbitrarily between IAF & army, keeping the dispute simmering!

@Tracking_Live Su57 should not be considered , a true 5th gen plane , rather it is a LO , High End BVR/Strike Platform , and should be viewed as a 5- gen platform , Comparing it , with true 5th gen platforms like the J20/F22/F35/J35 is not appropriate.
