The more I dive into fantasy and sci-fi the more I’m beginning to realize my taste. Give me focused, small POV story with a big world and lore that is fleshed out as you follow that focused story. I’ll take that over 27 POV’s and lore dumps as worldbuilding all day.

Supposed to be Arwen, Frodo, and Sam, but we had a late pivot to Spider-Man, despite my nudging. Lucy the bat was also off theme and entirely too cute. Good times were had by all.

@ThePreach3rMan @DPGBehler Ultimately youre gonna raise the kids your way, but if a gay character revealed in an after-credits scene turns a fantastic movie into one you would've avoided, Id avoid secular media altogether. The peeps making this content are diverse and will continue to represent themselves

@9RG_Riggs @DPGBehler Not fighting about this on Twitter with ya, but we both know the issue I take is the shoehorned inclusion of something I don’t think is appropriate for my child, with no signs or marketing to indicate it is something that doesn’t align with our values 🤷‍♂️

My kids wanted me to watch “Mitchells vs. Machines” on Netflix. Thought it was a good, wholesome family movie centered around a dad and his relationship w/his daughter. I thought it was enjoyable and a good message. Then the mid-credits scene made clear the daughter is gay 🙄

@save71LU I once attended a "rave" hosted by Student Activities at Snowflex.

The institutionalized hypocrisy can lead to truly absurd situations, like when the swing dancing club was told they could no longer meet in public and had to advertise their dances as “dancing lessons with practicing afterwards” so that they wouldn’t qualify as “a dance.”

One thing most people don’t understand about @LibertyU: students are often unaffected by the school’s most extreme rules, because they are rarely enforced — like the ban on “attendance at a dance.” Today some students plan to raise awareness of the rule by dancing on the lawn.
