This is actually a really great question. I’d have to think about it because the people I know best I generally know from other places as well as X, so if it’s X exclusive, that narrows it a little. Romantically, I’ll keep those peeps a secret, but I’ll take applications for X friends that wanna grab some food 😏

If you’re the type of person to send multiple texts to convey one thought, you’re annoying to me, but I’ll role with it. If you’re also the kind of person that responds immediately and with multiple more texts while I’m trying to type my responses to your many texts, and the conversation gets all convoluted and confusing, and I get sucked into a conversation for far longer than I expected because I’m trying to stay caught up…

Yea right😂 I’m a child of the King and they did the same to my savior. Bring it on, fire away, dig in, slander and lie if that’s what you feel led to do… my only prayer is you would one day know the true love of Christ in his salvation. It will change your life and behavior.

@DPGBehler I have no issue with people holding my past sins against me because that says more about who they are and what they believe. My past does not define me. It’s not who I am, I’m dead to sin and alive in Christ ❤️

I don’t hold people’s forgiven past against them for two good reasons:
1. I’m a Christian.
2. I also have a past I’m deeply ashamed of.

Yellow: Saying “Jews and Gentiles” does NOT inherently mean *some* Jews and *some* Gentiles. That’s an assumption he slips in. As someone who believes Jesus died for all, I can affirm that at times scripture has in mind Jews and Gentiles. I just don’t add a limitation to it. All without distinction is NOT mutual exclusive with all without exception.
Orange: Jon forgets the context of the NT. Israel had been scattered. Jews were living in other nations. John 11:52 calls them children of God. This cant be, as the Calvinist would say, elect people God will eventually save. They are already called children. Israel was God’s son (Exodus 4:22), so this is a reference to the diaspora. Jesus was dying for the nation as well as those scattered abroad. He would bring them together into one. This was fulfilled on Pentecost.

Notice that he slips in assumptions of an eternal decree when talking about starting with God. Also, Roger Olson has soundly refuted the accusation that LFW is a starting point rather than a conclusion based off starting with a good doctrine of God.

No, it’s not “just posturing” or a rhetorical trick. The argument is straightforward: the real problem is in Theology Proper. Rather than beginning with Scripture’s revelation of who God is and what His eternal decree actually does, the approach starts with man, especially libertarian assumptions about freedom and ability, and then maps conclusions about God from there. That’s a substantive methodological critique, not empty rhetoric. You’ve made a habit of griping at anything I post instead of engaging the actual point. If the claim is truly vacuous, show where it fails on the merits instead of the usual dismissal.

I see more and more of this from @Soteriology101 and his followers. The claim is that Calvinism either is Gnosticism or at least founded upon gnostic roots. Such a wild claim. It’s utterly baseless of course.
I’m offering $2,000 to anyone who can prove that Calvinism (confessional Calvinism) has even a single core tenet of Gnosticism.
Now, let’s see if the Provisionists also want to apply the challenge to Provisionism and Pelagianism/semi-Pelagianism.

I’ve never really been on the “Calvinism is Gnostic” train, though for rhetorical purposes in some discussions I may have made reference to it to make a point.
Having said that, Chris’s offer here is just as genuine as he pretends the gospel proclamation is to the non-elect in his view, and if you believe you could ever possibly satisfy his criteria to win the money, I have a bridge to sell you.
