Spencer Steer is having a good year. Surface numbers are just average right now, but underlying numbers are popping.

@ReidMausRadio@Nicholaspkirby One could argue that if they’re 19-10 with complete busts all over the field, the regression isn’t due to be negative, but rather positive.
Had an error that proceeded a go-ahead homer on Sunday, too.
Cant be the worst hitter in the league and not be anything but the best defender at your position (which isn’t even a priority position at that).
@AndThatsBB Watch the Cincinnati Reds. Terry Francona still thinks you have to do this.
Friedl (not even fast anymore)
McLain (Spring league MVP)
Elly
Sal
Eugenio
Steer
RF platoon
Stephenson
Kebryan Hayes
I miss old lineup construction:
1. Fastest player
2. Bat control guy (he sucks)
3. Best all-around hitter
4. Best power hitter
5. Lumbering power or bust hitter
6. High-OBP guy who leads off now
7. Bad switch hitter
8. Catcher
9. Gold Glove defender (-5 DRS, can't hit)
@Soly_Reds Gonna have to disagree with ya here Soly. How much longer does he need to be the best hitter in all of AAA before you let him get his run in the bigs? Jumping levels in baseball is harder than any sport. You just have to let him make mistakes and learn from them consistently
Hinds should not be blocking anybody, ever.
You absolutely do NOT "have to give him a shot."
He's not even in the ballpark of being big league ready.
He should be a depth option only and should be swapped for Bleday by tomorrow.
