Keaton Wagler was the 56th highest ranked recruit Illinois has ever had and yet is now the best freshman in Illinois history. For reference, Zavier Zens, who will likely hardly play this year is 54th.

I see nothing & have heard nothing yet on grandfathering in current seniors who have run out of eligibility.
And that’s a huge issue IMO - IF they did it would allow for hundreds of newly eligible players like the extra COVID year did. Would impact every player in the country & shake up every single roster out there.

NCAA President Charlie Baker is pushing for the proposal to allow DI athletes five years of eligibility to be voted on as emergency legislation in May, with implementation the next month. Baker is also in support of DI having a legal tampering window like we see in the NFL.

Credits simply don’t transfer that smoothly program to program and a lot of universities have policies on minimum semesters required for a degree

Let’s not ruin sports any further and reinvent the wheel. It is college, college is 4 years. We don’t need grown adults vs 18 year old kids.

@takhtehchianmd The way people talk about or defense you’d think it was bottom 100 in the sport… finished 20th in the nation. Also as far as the depth for next year, Mirk is going to play 32-34 minutes a game. You can have Z backup the 4 and 5 or even have Jakstys play sparing minutes.
