This is slowly going extinct. Sliced boiled eggs tossed with onions, green chillies, black pepper, and a pinch of salt , simple, affordable, and incredibly satisfying. That used to be our go-to evening snack. Today, every street corner seems to sell momos, loaded fries and what not. 🙃

Half of the people don't even understand what good seafood is, so let's not bang our heads against the wall. And while we're at it, dial back the excess spice and oil. My appeal to Delhiites: Stop insisting your creamy slop is India's best cuisine just because it got gora validation. Drowning tomato gravy in cream and butter isn't culinary excellence. If you want something worth flexing, kang tandoori chicken instead, arguably the healthiest mainstream chicken preparation in India.

My dad is fully prepared for my marriage. When I was in school, he worked day and night shifts. Sometimes he even worked 24 hours straight just to earn a little extra from the company. There were weeks when we lived in the same house, but I barely saw him. He used to leave for work at 6:30 in the morning while I was still sleeping. By the time I came home from school, I used to help my mom with the housework, play with my friends, finish my homework, and by 8 or 8:30 PM, I was already asleep. He usually came home around 9:30 PM. I remember telling my mom, I haven't seen Papa for 4–5 days. She would smile and say, Wait for the weekend. Then you'll get to see him. Even today, those memories bring tears to my eyes. He worked that hard so my brother and I could get a good education. On top of that, he kept saving money for one more dream... my wedding. Today, he doesn't work at the company anymore. He works on our farm, and he is ready to give me the grand wedding every father dreams of. But I made a promise to myself. I won't let him spend his savings on my wedding. He already gave me the greatest gift... an education that helped me stand on my own feet and earn. Now it's my turn. I've already told him, I'll take care of the wedding expenses and everything else. You don't have to worry anymore. It's your time to relax, travel, and enjoy life. I just want to see my parents smiling. 🥹❤️
