@NolanAnalyst At some point, he has to make a Star Wars movie. He once said he wouldn’t rule it out. This beloved franchise has lost its way, and only Nolan could bring it back. After The Odyssey, though, I’d rather see him make another original film outside any established universe.

Do you have any ideas for what Christopher Nolan could make after The Odyssey that would be even more ambitious? Personally, I can't think of anything.

Christopher Nolan turns The Odyssey into an immersive event film. The non-linear structure can feel clunky and the action imperfect, but the practical scale, performances, horror touches, and powerful third act make it a must-see epic.

The Odyssey is the ultimate Nolan film, a cinematic triumph that will mark its era and the decades to come with its scope, ambition, and thematic relevance. It's Nolan's most accomplished film formally, his direction has never been this grandiose, this elegant, this powerful. Technically, every department delivers the best Hollywood has to offer. The music, the cinematography, the sets, the costumes are all masterful. In terms of scale, it's unlike anything seen before. The film cost $200 million, yet it feels like it cost a billion. To my mind, it even surpasses the greatest peplum epics like Gladiator and The Ten Commandments in that regard. The Odyssey is also one of Nolan's best written films. He elevates Homer's poem, making it even more moving and thematically compelling, delivering a work of exceptional density and thematic richness that ranks among his most morally pertinent. The cast is another of the film's greatest strengths, with every actor delivering a pitch-perfect performance. As in Oppenheimer, every scene is elevated by the ensemble. If I had to single out one performance, it would be Anne Hathaway's as Penelope. I don't see anyone beating her at next year's Oscars. I've never seen her command the screen with such presence. She completely dominates every scene she's in. Ultimately, what a staggering cinematic achievement. It's a great war film, a great adventure film, a great romance, and at times even a great horror film. A monumental achievement that I'll need to watch several more times to fully appreciate its richness. Thank you, Christopher Nolan, because you're unfortunately the only filmmaker capable of giving us experiences like this in theaters.

@NolanAnalyst Based on the reviews, the performances that are praised the most are those of Hathaway, Morton, Damon, and Pattinson, followed by, to a slightly lesser extent, Leguizamo, Patel, and Holland.

It’s interesting because everyone who’s seen The Odyssey seems to have a different favorite performance. I’m really curious to see which cast member will leave the biggest impression on me.

@HarDzik_ @HibHobXD Nie jest dziwne że masz takie upodobania. Dziwne jest mówić że to przekreśla cały film. To tak jakbym nie chciał obejrzeć Avengers bo tam Nick Fury jest czarny. Dla mnie to nie ma takiego znaczenia. Ważne żeby aktor odegrał dobrze swoją rolę.

Już w tym tygodniu premiera nowego filmu Christophera Nolana "Odyseja" Jak tam? Wybieracie się? Dobre czy słabe nastawienie? Ja się wybieram i kurde, coraz bardziej czuje hype, że tak powiem. Oby dowiózł.

@_smartone_ @HibHobXD No właśnie i tu się kończy wasze pierdolenie i brak odpowiedzi, jak zadaje się niewygodne pytania. Opisałem absurdalną sytuację, każdy by się zgodził że pojawienie się samochodu w takim filmie nie jest czymś normalnym. To samo jest z transem grającym wojownika czy czarną Heleną.
