Modern Hebrew was constructed in Russia in the Late 1800's by a linguist by the name of Elizer Ben Yehuda before that had been a dead language similar to Latin for about 1000 years. The closest to the biblical language today is probably the West African Igbo language. Some examples for comparison the Ashkenazi celebrate Yom Kippur which means Day of Covering / Atonement. The first Hebrew scripture did not appear until Medieval time under Leningrad Codex. The Septuagint was written in Greek and never claimed to be translations. In fact, it was accepted as original revelation. Hebrew of the era had 8000 words and hardly left trace of any profound articulation. It was for bookkeeping and records at best. All snippets of Dead Sea Scrolls were proven to be fake except for those under lock and key in Israel, which too had suspicious provenance.

It's actually a remarkable story, a triumph really. Earlier attempts to promote an artificial language, such as Esperanto, failed. Yet today millions of Israelis speak this artificial language, Modern Hebrew, as their native tongue. I don't think that's ever been done before. It's quite separate and distinct from the process of creolization, where a pidgin (trade language) transitions from a simple bridge across a language barrier into a native tongue in its own right.

@MaytalKowalski To be fair, there are matzah options in New York. We went on field trips to the matzah factory in elementary school in Brooklyn. So perhaps instead of just creating alternative infrastructure, they take even one minute to google what already exists in our robust Jewish community.
