Today marks 7 years to the day that I fled abuse! my day of freedom! I never thought I would be in the position I am today! There’s so many things we take for granted but I will never take my freedom for granted again! I will enjoy every day to the fullest

Victoria Climbie would have been 33 years old today! Her murder was a shocking reminder of how the system failed her. Starved, beaten, scared and scolded to death by family! I remember this story growing up and it still upsets me thinking about how much she went though at just 8!

I shared my journey with you about life after abuse and the effects it has on one’s mental health and I will say it was the best thing to happen for me! I became more in tune with myself and it made me find things to help me manage my #anxiety and #PTSD #MentalHealthMatters
