@_stuartt_little Please note we allow only 7kgs for hand baggage, guests can carry 2 pieces of hand baggage including laptop and the weight should not exceed more than 7 kgs.

@AirIndiaX Excuse me.? this is nowhere mentioned in my ticket. I carried only my laptop bag as hand luggage, and the way your staff treated me at the airport was completely inhumane. I faced humiliation while other passengers were allowed more than 7kgs. This clearly shows biased treatment.

Hi! We apologise for any unpleasant experience, further check we see that the booking was done through Code share with Air India. We would like to inform that the baggage allowance is 25 kgs for check in and 7 kgs (including laptop) for hand baggage. Further checking we see you were carrying excess baggage 12 kgs for hand baggage. Hence the necessary charges were applied.

(TL;DR): Injured passenger harassed at check-in. Charged ₹7500 for a 5 kg laptop bag Forced to walk around despite knee injury. Refused international card. Asked to show ₹70k balance. Zero empathy or coordination between @airindia & @AirIndiaX and @Cleartrip 11/11

I made 20+ calls and was constantly passed between @airindia and @Cleartrip before they finally rebooked me on 24th August at 12pm just a few hours before my actual flight, this time on @AirIndiaX, which had different baggage rules that were never communicated. 10/11
