I’m very excited for Cerebras’s IPO, having followed this company since Andrew Feldman and I were having tacos in Palo Alto when his company was in stealth. The IPO prospectus confirms what I somewhat feared, which is that the vast majority of revenue has come from two giant customers. OpenAI is now a third giant customer. Given my doubts about how much OpenAI can actually afford of all the spending it has promised, that has to be a big concern for this IPO. Cerebras’s risky customer concentration, Meta cuts heads Legendary AI chip pioneer Cerebras Systems filed for its IPO a second time, this time with a huge dependence on three giant customers including OpenAI, a risk that has to give one pause, and Meta is axing ten percent of its staff as it commits fully to the AI arms race. thetechnologyletter.com @cerebras
