@JuiceMan_V They’re complaining saying it’s “pay to win”, like the last 2 Gens weren’t pay to win with the best competitive Pokemon coming from the DLCs. Also a $7 battle pass is nothing, I’ll pay that any day

I genuinely cannot believe what I am about to say and my hands are shaking as I type this. The prize pool of the Grand Champions Festival is now $10000. I’ll be making a follow up post revealing some of the partners making this all possible in the next day or so.

@Wunter49 @CentroLeaks I’d recommend getting them in Home instead of just waiting to get them in Champions. Seems like Pokemon will be really expensive, and any Pokemon that are in Home you’ll be able to get in the other games and transfer them to Champions to be used for free

How much will you have to grind in Pokémon Champions to play for free? A LOT.

Costs:
- 2500 VP to recruit a Pokémon
- Mega Stones cost 2000 VP each
- Changing a Pokémon move: 250 VP
- Maximizing a Pokémon single stat: 330 VP
- Changing Nature: 500 VP
- Changing Ability: 500 VP

@HelloPresto @ItsmeRadley Competitive Pokemon is all about the synergy between your Pokemon. Choose 1-3 Pokemon you want to use, come up with a strategy, and build around that.

@ItsmeRadley I'm setting up Home so I have some Pokemon to transfer but my bigger issue is LEARNING how competitive play works. I'm totally new to the strategies, moves, etc. Any advice on getting started?

@ItsmeRadley Given the uncertainty of being able to get the exact pokemon you want in Champions on release, I’d recommend putting together a team in SV or another game and sending them to Home then into Champions. I’m not 100% sure if stats transfer over, but I know the moves do

@flbreglass I do not support the decision of some of them being in the battle pass (even though the battle pass is $8), but I’m not mad about the VP requirement. Gives players something to grind out and play for instead of a lot of people having stacked teams on Day 1
