Twins send Simeon Woods Richardson back to the Blue Jays just short of five years since acquiring him from Toronto in the José Berríos trade.
They had one week to trade, waive, or release Woods Richardson after designating him for assignment on May 30.

Twins acquired 31-year-old reliever Justin Lawrence from the Pirates for cash considerations.
Lawrence, a right-hander with mid-90s fastball/sinker velocity, a swing-and-miss sweeper, and poor control, has a 5.05 ERA with 236 strikeouts and 130 walks in 234 career MLB innings.

Twins have designated Simeon Woods Richardson for assignment.
Woods Richardson is still just 25 years old and he was a solid back-end starter for the Twins in 2024 and 2025, but he went 0-7 with a 7.74 ERA in 48 innings this season and lost his rotation spot three weeks ago.

2.) Salaries aren’t suppressed so much as agreed upon in advance in the form of revenue sharing.
MLB player salaries will continue to increase, as long as the MLBPA negotiates the correct % of revenue.

The 10th highest payroll in MLB is 210M this year. The Twins would literally have to double their payroll to enter that group.

I feel like Prielipp’s early performance has been undersold. Like if this was Andrew Morris, people would be ecstatic, but with Prielipp, a guy I would say a majority of fans wanted to see in the pen, he throws a good game and people don’t even acknowledge it. Idk why
