Clearly I have to address this. The original $700 was a sponsor, which I never asked for but always appreciated. This tourney originally happened as a subathon incentive for my community. Kelsea had her own reasoning which is why we decided to combine both worlds. The narrative that we took $1k is simply not true. Yes we took 20% and looking back we should have never believed those who said it was okay. That validation came from multiple people who were playing, and I will post my vod so people can see that first hand. Anyone who was in the tourney chat or watching my stream knows how many times I said I was willing to have a conversation with winners and second place. That said, if there is anything I can do to make the winners feel as if their time is more appreciated, I will do that in a heartbeat. This was our first tourney at this scale and we only want to improve. Those who actually take the time to know me will know that I would never do anything to manipulate or take advantage of my community. I appreciate those who are defending me and giving me patience. @BGfasho Because people saw the pot go bigger so naturally wanted more of a cut, both streamers said they won’t take anything, but multiple people told them too take 20% —10% each so they did and then when the pot hit 4k people clearly realised

why am i seeing people complain about tourney hosters taking a portion of the pot, like bro u signed up for the tourney and cmg be taking 15% of my dollar

You did nothing wrong, you stated that this tournament was a Subathon insensitive and that you was doing it for your tourney, you also said that you wasn’t going to take a cut but multiple people in chat said you should take 20% and then when they saw the pot hit 4k they switched up, nevertheless proud of you

I do just want to point out that I gave everyone a chance to talk to me about it. No one came forward even after I expressed that I had no intention of "being greedy" or "taking money". I think we did a very good job staying professional while being degraded and bashed on social media. A little communication goes a long way especially when connecting the content world with the competition world. Instead of people making posts, I would have been more than happy to figure out something in a vc. I'm not perfect and I'm trying to grow. I still have no problem dividing my portion out. I will be using my money for paying those who helped me. It was also mentioned that I made 1k in a few hours. That simply isn't true even with the tourney portion and daily subs. If you'd like to further this conversation I am all for it, I just will not do the back and forth on twitter.

new hosters taking 20% from a $4k pot is insane & sad LMFAO, once they saw $4k pot they decided to take a percentage bc at first they werent… 10% is fine but JESUSSSSSS, taking almost $1k for streaming only 5hrs, mofos make $1k working at a warehouse for 5 days 8hrs feelsbad, anyways sucks for the winners 😭😂
