Clearly I have to address this. The original $700 was a sponsor, which I never asked for but always appreciated. This tourney originally happened as a subathon incentive for my community. Kelsea had her own reasoning which is why we decided to combine both worlds. The narrative that we took $1k is simply not true. Yes we took 20% and looking back we should have never believed those who said it was okay. That validation came from multiple people who were playing, and I will post my vod so people can see that first hand. Anyone who was in the tourney chat or watching my stream knows how many times I said I was willing to have a conversation with winners and second place. That said, if there is anything I can do to make the winners feel as if their time is more appreciated, I will do that in a heartbeat. This was our first tourney at this scale and we only want to improve. Those who actually take the time to know me will know that I would never do anything to manipulate or take advantage of my community. I appreciate those who are defending me and giving me patience. If anyone wants to further this conversation please feel free to message me, I will be checking my message requests often.
