I know gleyber was a trade but he was a minor leaguer still and unproven and he worked out great for the Yankees, especially in the playoffs. I just don't wanna see prospects who have promise and potential sent to the Mets for an aging, declining and expensive player when that money can be used towards a younger, healthier superstar free agent.

Yes I was around. I watch every game I can since 2003. 2017 was the year I was in college I’ll never forget kahnle let the astros blow it open in game 7 I was so pissed. Gleyber wasn’t home grown he was traded for Chapman then we signed Chapman back in the winter. Judge isn’t like Stanton when it comes to health we’ll see. Jones can’t wait till 2028 for real AB’s it will destroy his confidence look at what they did to Dominguez

Judge is gonna be 35 bro, he's gonna start declining defensively. A guy who's 6 feet and 7 inches who weighs 280 lbs (bigger than stanton) can't play outfield his whole career otherwise he'll be injured every single year LIKE stanton. If you wanna preserve judge, you make him the DH once stanton leaves. It's just the smart thing to do lol and obviously you weren't around for the judge, sanchez, torres years bc those unknown rookies at the time brought us within 1 game of the WS in 2017 and 2 in 2019. Homegrown talent and prospects can work if you give them the playing time.

Judge is not gonna be a DH he’s wayyy too good at playing RF for that shit. So u wanna wait until 2028 for jones? Hes gonna be much older by then he’s ready for AB’s now. I want them to go back to just signing big names screw development they can’t do it. Name someone besides Judge, Rice or cam they developed. Gil for one year. Cano was the last guy before that Sanchez was ok for 3 years but again turned out to be bust

You do realize that Stanton's contract is off the books after 2027 right? Meaning Judge will be the full time DH which makes room for Spencer Jones. Volpe isn't lasting much longer and Lombard Jr will be up by 2027/2028. Those guys will get plenty of playing time and from what they've already shown is a lot of promise. So no it's not a good idea to trade for a 32 year old Lindor, who is having a defensive and offensive nightmare of a season and carries $34 million per year on his contract. With that money, go sign a young free agent superstar.
