Another good day for Jasson Domínguez, even after getting the news he was optioned last night: Two hits from the right side off lefty Framber Valdez, including a triple.

Max Schuemann has also been optioned to Triple-A and Paul DeJong and Seth Brown reassigned to minor league camp. So the bench is now essentially set: Goldschmidt, Rosario, Escarra and Grichuk.

The Orioles did not bring their A-lineup, but this is by far the best Luis Gil has looked this spring. Through three innings, he has not allowed a baserunner, with five strikeouts and a fastball averaging 97 mph.

Luis Gil dials it up to 98.5 mph to strike out Pete Alonso in the first inning.

Jasson Dominguez has been optioned to Triple-A, as expected.

Aaron Judge on the WBC: "It was a blast. Obviously we didn't win it, so that's not fun. But being around those guys, being around that team, that's something special." Said he wants in for the next WBC and Olympics.

Certainly sounds like the Yankees will be breaking camp with Cade Winquest on their roster. Boone: “We feel like he's going to be a good pitcher. I think he's shown enough to keep himself in that mix for us and to warrant us taking him. We'll see in the end which way we go.”
