A huge topic - it is the foundation of human health, and when we view all problems through this lens, the answers become more clear and all encompassing in how they address the body. The current solutions in medicine are mostly primative - either cutting through connected network that is our bodies or dropping a biochemical "nuke" into the body. Although new advancements like peptides seem to be getting closer and more harmonious with the body.

The most expensive mistake in health is treating the body like a static object. It’s not an object... It’s a live network. Networks don’t just respond to more input.. They respond to better information. When we improve information flow (signal quality, timing, coherence), we can create bigger shifts than the size or simplicity of the intervention/technique would suggest. Small input > Right lever = Whole system change

A rapidly degrading planet and the people who inhabit it. There’s a unique dance with speed, timeliness, and allowing things to “take shape” the way nature does. We’re harnessing the power of light (specifically biophotons) to restore natural coherence and peak performance in living systems. By working directly at the signaling layer, we let every cell, every planet, every drop of water reach its full potential, ultimately allowing the system to do more with less… The internal operating system runs cleaner because the signal itself is better (!). This isn’t generic optimization.. It’s precise realignment at the cellular level - delivering gains in agriculture, human health, and water systems by integrating into existing workflows. Why add more when the real problem is the internal communication that’s been quietly breaking down inside every system? Speed matters when solving the problem(s) we’re solving.

Yes, I love it! I view entropy a little differently... I actually see it as our energy expanding, similar to the ever expanding energy of the universe. Entropy, in its purest form, is our free spirit. If we wish to be our highest self and most free spirit on earth, we can channel our expanding energy into contractive energy (or creation). I think most people stuck in the non-action state are neither channeling their free spirit, expanding energy, or actively creating. At the same time, those who only channel their free spirit may find peace within, but never actually create or doing anything on earth.

Health, happiness, love, and abundance flow to the human being who is actively creating his reality. Entropy, disease, suffering, and illness overtake the human being who passively waits for the external world to dictate his actions. Most of the world sits around and waits to be told what to do, what to say, what to care about, what to watch on Netflix, etc. It is no wonder most of the world is full of with disease and suffering. This is entropy — the result of a passive mindset. Going the opposite way of the world, tuning out the news, rejecting being told what to do, and avoiding any ounce of victimhood and dependency is the only way to create genuine vitality, happiness, and abundance. Shift into an active creative mindset. Be dependent on no one. Look outside of yourself for nothing. This is the way to a rich inner world, which will precede a rich outer world.

@vitalizereality Beautifully said- it’s so cool that you can impact gut health from so many different angles. Mind, body, and spirit work all play on each other to help the body heal!

Gut damage comes from two directions: 1) what you consume 2) how you live The 'how you live' aspect always gets overlooked Here are some lifestyle factors that wreck your gut: - Chronic stress: Your body cannot properly digest food when your nervous system is in fight-or-flight mode. Digestion requires a state of rest and digest. - Poor sleep: Your gut repairs itself while you sleep and consistently poor sleep means impaired gut function. - Lack of movement: A sedentary body leads to sluggish digestion and elimination. - Overeating and constant snacking: Your digestive system needs breaks between meals. There’s a process called the migrating motor complex that sweeps your digestive tract clean. If you’re always eating, it never activates properly. These levers are typically easier to pull and manage than diet related ones and provide just as much if not MORE benefit if managed properly.

I'm moving in one week and it feels like my old self is dying. Felt a similar feeling with every big move I've made. It's the feeling that comes from leaving an old life behind. I'm leaving behind the familiar (not entirely cuz it's still Cali lol) And stepping into something completely new. Since the first time I set foot in San Diego, I just knew it was the place I had to be. New people with aligned missions. And that feeling has stuck every time I've gone back. This time, it's permanent.

I love to. Love is steady, consistent, and forward moving. Anger is abrupt and a burst of energy. Anger can still get you to where you want to go in a way. I’d just expect it to be more turbulent.. I imagine a line chart with a lot of big swings up and down. Love can take the same trajectory, often with less turbulence. Great thought Drew! Thank you for sharing!

You may get temporary solutions by doing something from a place of anger, but it’s key to understand anything built off anger, lack, and frustration stands on a shaky foundation. It can crumble with a gust of wind. Things built from love stand the test of time regardless.

@emckusick It is also very cool to see how modalities we consider to be physical, mental, psychological and spiritual can all impact bioelectrical signal coherence.

Awesome piece, Eileen. This is right where I am in time right now… bringing the “woo woo” back to the level of signal coherence and understanding the science between them. Is there any data that you believe best represents this state of signal coherence? I am intrigued by HRV and phase angle as it relates to bioelectrical impedance.

I hear this for sure- it is crazy how quickly it can start to diminish the ability for people to think on their own. Especially for those who are not aware that it is primarily designed to mirror what you want. I’ve found it really useful for deep internal inspection, and in that way I think it has enhanced my connection with God and spirit. The more you allow yourself to flow with it - in thought, feeling, and action- it has helped me to cut through a lot of internal resistance. I’m not sure anything comes close to what the mastermind has provided in helping me in that way though 😜

I agree with you fully! It will take people who want to focus on building technologies that are harmonious with our biology and nature. It could very easily go the other way, like you mentioned… I am feeling optimistic that the good prevails and we as a society choose a life that works with technology, rather than be overrun by it.

I agree to an extent... It is an exciting time to be alive, but I don't think the promise is in technology alone. Faster information transfer has accelerated innovation significantly. But more advanced technology doesn't automatically create a more harmonious relationship with nature. We're already seeing how technology can consume our attention, relationships, and lives with phones and computers alone. AI and quantum computing could help us better understand living systems or deepen the disconnect, depending on how they're used. I believe the real opportunity is not just building smarter tools - it’s using them to work with life, not further override it. That balance will be delicate.. We're already seeing how technology can consume our lives and relationships with phones and computers alone. AI, ML, VR, and AR are still in their early stages, yet entire lives are already being swallowed by screen time. Only time will tell..

Every aspect of our health starts with how well we receive and give energy. As an athlete, it is related to how efficiently create and absorb force. In longevity and wellness, it is how well our bodies flow and distribute energy. When energy is stored in different areas or blocked from other areas, disease and poor health manifest. Our ability to take in new information, let it run through us, and continue moving forward lay the foundation for mental health. When we ruminate or spin or hesitate to take action, mental health deteriorates. Spiritually, when we open ourselves to receiving with gratitude, and giving with an open, authentic, heart, we become aligned. When we block ourselves off from receiving or stop giving, we become misaligned. It is all energy, and how we align ourselves to give it and receive it in every moment ✨

Thank you for sharing Rich! I would love to talk with you sometime about how a combination of direct current electrical stimulation and exercise can help your muscles to recover faster and return to better function. I’ve been working with the technologies for the past 8 years, primarily with athletes.. your work and podcast is always so inspiring, and it would give me a lot of joy to be able to share with you. I’m happy to hear your recovery is on an upward trajectory and am sending prayers your way! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

On May 8, 2025 I underwent spinal fusion surgery, a 6 hour procedure in which I was filleted from front to back. First, my abdomen was opened up so that the surgeon could scrape out the disc between L5 and S1, replacing it with a perforated cage containing bone grafting material that was screwed into my vertebra. Then I was flipped over and opened up on my back so that my surgeon could screw vertical rods into L5 and S1 to secure my spine position to ensure the fusion sets properly. The procedure was successful, correcting 15 years of lower back debilitation due to severe Spondylolisthesis. However, the recovery process demanded I endure far more than I bargained for, debilitating me in ways I thought might handicap me permanently. For the first 3 months I could barely move. For the first six months my activity was limited to walking only. Pain was constant. At nine months I was still in so much discomfort, still so limited in my range of motion, still too unstable to do anything to elevate my heart rate. My weight ballooned. My muscles atrophied. My mood plummeted. And I was becoming resigned to the idea that my athletic identity (let alone performing extreme feats of ultra-endurance) was a thing of the past, a memory well behind me. But very slowly after that I began to turn a corner. At ten months, I finally felt stable enough to resume a very modest non-spine compressing return to fitness exercise regimen. Zone 1 indoor cycling, gentle core work, extremely low weight / high rep resistance training. Proceeding on a ‘less is more’ mandate in late November (which demands discipline for someone like myself prone to taking everything to the extreme, I just showed up every single morning to do what I could, and stop well before doing more than I should. Today I am down 35 pounds from November (207 to 171) including a body fat reduction from 20% to 11%. More importantly, I am beginning to feel like myself again. Grateful and hopeful. I still have a long way to go—it takes 12-18 months for the fusion to fully set. My surgeon was not optimistic that I will be able to run again. Time will tell of course, but I’m confident that provided I continue to proceed patiently that I have a future in which running can become part of my new reality. Towards that end I have a goal—which is to celebrate my 60th birthday this Fall by participating in the NYC Marathon. But here’s the thing. I’m not trying to return to who I once was. I’ve leaned into the stillness this experience has demanded of me to become someone new and better. I am posting this story not for external validation but rather to say that change is always possible. And the way to do it is the same way I have navigated every one of my many life transformations, from alcoholism to sobriety, from sedentary to middle aged ultra endurance athlete, and from a corporate lawyer career to becoming an author and podcaster: getting sober and staying sober: by taking contrary action consistently and religiously—one day at a time. As Chris Paul said on my podcast, “keep stacking days.” And remember, every obstacle life presents you is simply an opportunity custom-designed for your growth and evolution.
