Our education system, right from kindergarten to university, is in total mess. Do you know the reason? The system is designed by rich/powerful men/women whose children go to schools that offer British/American curriculum and have no idea why the Kenyan education system fails the kids of their watchmen/house girls/drivers/gardeners/office messengers/policemen etc..

In partnership with the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, we facilitated stakeholders meeting on the Conflict of Interest Bill (NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BILL No. 12 of 2023). The Bill has been developed to make provisions for the management and regulation of conflict of interest. @TIKenya and other stakeholders submitted memoranda to @NAssemblyKE on the bill. We are in support of the consultative process that will ensure that all stakeholders' input is incorporated.

MR NOORDIN HAJI - UNFIT FOR PUBLIC SERVICE Together with our @RedCardKe partners - @thekhrc, @TISAKenya & @nisisikenya, we submitted a petition to @PSCKenya to seek the removal of Mr Noordin Haji as the Director- @ODPP_KE on grounds of gross misconduct, incompetence & non-compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution on leadership and integrity. ➡️nia-ke.org/petition-to-th… On incompetence, we have highlighted several instances where Mr Haji has made various applications to withdraw from prosecution several active cases in court, including graft-related cases on grounds of insufficient evidence to sustain a prosecution. On non-compliance with the constitution & other legislations, we aver that Mr Haji failed to follow set out guidelines on the decision to charge, acted against the interests of justice & public interest, & failed to promote public trust & confidence in the office he holds contrary to Article 73 of the CoK 2010. On gross misconduct, we have highlighted the DPP’s actions in exercising preferential treatment in handling the prosecution of some cases of politically exposed persons.
