We know the famous hadith that the Anti-Christ (Dajjal) will have the word kafir between his eyes. We also know that many so-called Muslims will follow the Anti-Christ despite such clear signs.

The confusion will be because of the extra ordinary feats he will perform and because he will declare himself God. So those weak of faith and who have issues with their creed will become confused.
