In Nov 2024, this young man - a follower here - got NLNG job but almost could not resume because he could not afford N50k to do international passport, a document required by NLNG at resumption as part of new staff documentation.
He sent anon message here and we got in touch.
Imagine a 20-something-year-old guy not having passport and struggling to raise N50k to do one. In 2024. That level of poverty.
Today, two years later, the "poor man" is offering to cover my return flight and hotel costs (likely up to N400k) for a trip to PH for a coaching session my career services firm, JarusHub, is organizing for NLNG candidates in the ongoing recruitment by NLNG.
Sharing this because it reinforces what I have preached all my adult life - poor but smart people without any connection get into all these top companies and have their lives changed within a short period of time.
Thankful to the young man for remembering the small role I played just 2 years ago.

This is exactly why I laugh at Nigerians who go to a capital city of a country and start comparing it to their hometown. A foreigner who stays in municipal Abuja for a week would think the whole of Nigeria has municipal water system 🤣

This same man dismissed the panel findings that acknowledged deaths during End SARS. Again, AGF Malami.
Now guess who not only supports him but has formed an alliance with him: Peter Obi.
Yet somehow, you don’t have the same vim for him.
