What if some of us are polite to robots not because we are inherently nicer people but because we have trauma from emotionally unpredictable caregivers and don’t want to risk making something mad at us HMMMM?

@a_catattack The layout is a nightmare 100. I have had to walk out of so many and let Josh finish the shopping. I also really like WinCo but there are tons of areas that don't have them but do have Trader Joe's. With how much we work, having backup emergency frozen meals is a must for us.

I really don't understand the appeal of Trader Joe's and when people tell me that's their primary grocery store it keeps me up at night.

@WrenOuttaTime @floridaalicat Honestly I assumed it was expensive because of the branding… that totally makes sense.

@DrTawdry I fully admit I'm a Winco gal. I want one-stop, cheap, and a huge selection. I also don't ever buy snacks or prepared foods which is a personal issue I need to work on. Aside from all that, the layout of every location makes me super anxious. There are so many unspoken rules.

@a_catattack I can't imagine it as a primary but have found their veggies to be cheaper than reg stores, interesting snacks and drinks, and easy lower priced frozen meals that aren't like the same few kinds of meals you typically find. But like they're also very limited in scope and can be $$
