Returning to a programming language you haven't used in years is a bit like riding a bike drunk: You swerve all over the place, try to stay upright, but keep hitting the curb over and over again.

@a_doerge Yeah, if you’re in iex thats probably faster and better! But if you want to do it in some program for other reasons (like autocomplete), you can’t use that h helper. I also think h will only show public modules, but not 100% sure there.

We have had so many woes with configuring ex_aws the last few days (documentation is rather bad/lacking). Lacking official SDKs can really bite when working with Elixir. #myelixirstatus

If you were to choose one classical software engineering book to be adapted to Elixir, which one would you pick?

SAP is such a wild business. They are just out there sending newsletters without unsubscribe buttons. I've marked 10s of them as spam, but Google Apps still lets them through. If that isn't a measure of true power, I don't know what is.

@mikekotsch When you delete critical infrastructure on AWS through their console, you have to type the name of the resource or something like “DELETE ME”. Makes you think an extra time about the action.

Are there examples for slowing a customer down—digitally or in real life—so they could make a better decision? #desirepath #sneckdown

Me: This time I'll use libs to speed up development! It's the smart thing to do! Also me: Look at this in-browser-image-uploader-with-crop-and-zoom I just wrote!

@marckohlbrugge A button with the label "More" would be better semantically in my opinion. But I'm not an a11y expert, so I could also be totally wrong here!

While redesigning WIP, I needed a simple way to hide/reveal additional menu items in my main navigation bar. Wanted something quick so I wouldn't lose my flow. Came up with this solution. Anyone want to guess how I implemented it? Hint: zero Javascript
