So currently with Nascar Arcade Rush, there is an issue with NVIDIA GPUs where the game is super washed out. This is what it looks like on my monitor. I'm going to have to color correct my stream for this. 🙃

Finally I can share the word about our latest game the team has worked on. I'm really proud of what the team has achieved and am pretty excited to see it now being out there. I can't wait for you the get the hands on 'NASCAR Arcade Rush'. ♥️🏎️♥️ #gamedev #games #gaming_news

.@NASCAR and @GameMillEnt are releasing a new 'NASCAR Arcade Rush' video game later this year on @PlayStation, @Xbox, @Nintendo Switch and PC via @Steam for $49.99. 🔲 It'll have 12-player online + local multiplayer modes and the scene is re-imagined versions of NASCAR's tracks.

@ferrarimanf355 Thank you for sharing. 🙂 I believe the team has created an awesome arcade racer which is fun to play. Of course sometimes it might be difficult to compete with those golden age games. In a same way I remember Doom or Quake 1. So I fully understand that. ☺️

@a_ledermueller I came of age during the golden age of arcade racers. Daytona, Ridge Racer, Cruis’n, Rush… they all hold a special place in my heart. 🥰

@DaveARodriguez I never understood this. QA is essential and will be always a major part of #gamedev. Everyone who says otherwise just has no idea about game dev at all. Easy as that.

Can't really believe this still needs saying, but I can 100% state, without equivocations, that Q/A is a discipline and legit career track. Q/A are #gamedevs. Our last line of defense and 1st ones to take shells after ship. They make our games better. Stop being a dick.

@a_ledermueller @PATALOON Try to delete a Uasset in under 3 seconds ^^ and reimport one without Unreal taking 50% of your memory :p (That's why I always prefer Unity over Unreal)

@PATALOON Everyone working with Unreal has the same goal : making the most photorealistic game ever... forgetting the most important aspect of a game : making it fun to play. (Also : working with UE is a torture if you're working in rigs and animations ...)

@LunaticArtimus Well, sure :D. But it really doesn't matter as this example is transferable to anything out there. Decency is not the strongest skills of some people.

@a_ledermueller Well a washing machine is not for entertainment purposes but I get the point. The things I received so far contain ludicrous statements like: "I hope you go bankrupt and die!" "I hope you die of cancer!" Peeps like these have severe brainschaden.

@JLHGameArt As indie games would be sustainable. For 95 percent it will not be the case. Game dev is still a business where you need to earn money to survive.... I was there myself and def will not go back.

@Zoroarts_Dev This is not great at all. I think it might be a good idea to move on and start with the next game anyway. You still can apply for exhibitions. There will be always rejections along the way as venue space is limited and then it really depends on the game itself and competition.

@JLHGameArt Yes, this is totally true and a good advice in general. But I'm not sure about the being closed off part. Coming from a past non-gamedev background I can tell you that it is not just our industry. It all depends on the availability of jobs across the board and industry size.

@kdavalos2018 Umm, I'm confused 😁. Just to be sure, you have checked my bio? And it all depends on the use cases of course. UE5 is awesome for sure but we don't need certainly the whole feature set. But I'm sure you will have fun with our next game. 🙂

@kdavalos2018 Totally, unfortunately I can't talk about any details or give an insight into anything. It is always difficult to see behind the curtain. But I have hope for the future. There is a lot going on. ☺️

@a_ledermueller I sure wish Team6 would get at least some level of respect, having more constructive feedback for their games basically.

I have implemented a first version for the airlock open mechanic. The automatic system is offline so the player needs to override the controls manually. Here is short clip of how it works. (Sound on) What do you think about it? 🚀🪐♥️ #gamedev #indiedev #gamedeveloper
