@FlyLowAimHigh @TheRISEofROD The Latin word, as far as I understand it is pronounced the same as the nig ger, and nigro with the G sound and putting it through howtopronounce.com/latin/niger it also is with the hard G. Therefore, I believe that it does not have the same root.

The fact that we pronounce them differently, and ended up with “nig ger” suggests the word was mispronounced & distorted from the start. Nig ger should be pronounced NIGER 🇳🇪
