@ThinkngMansGame @stacycay @SkippArth It's also rather disingenuous to pretend the only consequences for student protestors were being suspended or an hour of jail, rather than very real consequences like expulsion, withheld degrees, being blacklisted for hiring, deportation, police violence, longer imprisonment, etc

@stacycay @SkippArth That's not really in question though, is it? The question is about how there's been a chilling effect on protests. You seem to understand that there's a chilling effect for trans women but pretend it's easy for kids fresh out of high school to completely ignore dire consequences

@stacycay @SkippArth Trans women shouldn't protest because there could be more severe than normal consequences in the current environment, but kids in college should be expected to ignore their own overly severe consequences in this environment? Do you really find that a coherent argument?

@SkippArth Yup. Just by existing in America in 2026, trans women are already doing civil disobedience. And I always say “never do two crimes at the same time”. Another example would be don’t bring drugs or illegal weapons to a protest. There are plenty of cls people. Let them take the heat

@starnomad24 @ChaseW24_ @PanasonicDX4500 I don't know what you're basing this on, but the blue asssociated with Judaism (and the reason it's on the Israeli flag) is because of a Torah verse telling the Jews to add a sky blue dye (tekhelet) into garments, which is still seen in the often blue tallit people wear today.

@a_sari35 @ChaseW24_ @PanasonicDX4500 Nope! This very specific blue was solely started by the Zionist movement in the early 1900s. So it is very much first started being associated with just the State of Israel.

it’s fine and in fact good for the team that has Hank Greenberg’s number retired to have a Jewish Heritage night actually.

@midnucas @PanasonicDX4500 Those are the main symbols of the religion. It sucks that a genocidal country decided to use the symbol on their flag, but, beyond how contemporary it is, it's not particularly different than displaying a cross despite the Crusades having committed genocide on multiple occasions.

@ChaseW24_ @PanasonicDX4500 It's a white Star of David on a blue background, likely intentionally opposite of the flag. It's far and away the predominant symbol of Judaism and blue is the main color associated with Judaism (hence Israel adopting both elements). Not sure how else you want them to depict it.

@RachelBitecofer Leather indoor basketballs have been like $80-100 for decades. A shitty rubber outdoor ball is still like $10-20, and an indoor/outdoor ball is still $30-50. Trump sucks but this is just you posting about things you're ignorant about.

@aravosis @KevinCookman @neeratanden What she said was, at minimum, equivalently antisemitic, and realistically more so since there's an element of Holocaust revisionism that validates Nazi propaganda.

She literally did a tweet going after someone for pushing something that looked really antisemitic, and you’re criticizing her for antisemitism. And using incredibly sexist language to do it, which kind of calls into question whether you’re actually concerned about discrimination or simply wanted to attack a woman for being a woman. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@rule0podcast @KaiDaigoji @ChrisBospos5xc @ryangrim The "experts" he cites have no relevant expertise in the field and are very much crackpots. Point to a paper cited there in support of a lab leak that actually comes from a subject matter expert.

Everything I post here also gets posted over on the blsky and I sometimes forget that. Just went over to see how the Platner posts have been received and .... Not well! Should we post this one over there? Seems needlessly cruel

@neeratanden @draklarvampar So you condemn antisemitism but not anti-Black racism? When writing as Richard Hoste, Hanania called Black people "a race with an IQ of 85" while also advocating for forced sterilization of people with IQs under 90. Similar for non-white Hispanics. He also wrote for neo-Nazis.

@draklarvampar If Richard Hanania has been antisemitic, I condemn his antisemitism. Not a hard one for me at all.

@Is_Not_Brian @willmenaker Food Lab is great, as is his other book, The Wok. His YouTube content has gone downhill in the last year or so imo (seemingly coinciding with a divorce), but the older videos are really great too if someone prefers watching recipes to cookbooks.

@willmenaker Awesome I'll check this out. I really liked Michael Pollans book Cooked but its more conceptual & maybe not as useful, this looks like a more practical version of that (although Pollan has a great ragu recipe in it). Im gonna grab Food Lab now my wife will love it.

@alluther1 @MannyManny83 @Aelthemplaer He's already evil for murdering tons of brown kids in the Middle East with drones. He's just seemingly not involved with Epstein. People can be evil without specifically being in Epstein's network of pedophiles.

@MannyManny83 @Aelthemplaer It's almost certainly Ehud Barak, given that he's in the rest of the files repeatedly and Obama basically isn't in them at all.

@ObsidianLining @serenityxzz @jwalkermobile You'd be better off cooking eggs on a carbon steel surface since, when maintained well, it's the next best nonstick after Teflon. You'll also be familiar with taking care of it since it seasons similar to cast iron, but is way lighter. Strata or MadeIn are both solid.

@ChasperInYoAss @HodlMarbella @EvaLovesDesign These are the ingredients for a jambon-beurre, literally ham-butter. That's how it's intended to be eaten. A baguette, good butter, and ham at minimum, but a bit of dijon mustard is a common addition, plus cornichons on the side to serve (or on the sandwich too if you prefer.).

@XrayPC @kurtos Explain how she supported Epstein in any way. The only mention of her in the files is that Epstein got an email that mentions her being at an after party (which Epstein didn't attend) for one of her movies.
